Translation of legal documents for PwC
Who
PwC is among the world’s leading accounting firms, with offices in more than 157 countries and with a staff of 208,000 employees globally. PwC helps create value for their clients by delivering accounting services, tax advice and other consulting services. In 2015, PwC delivered services to 418 of the 500 largest companies on the Fortune 500 global list. PwC had a turnover of over USD 35.4 billion in 2015.
The challenge
PwC has several local offices in Northern Europe, and their Norwegian branch in Oslo needed assistance in translating a series of legal documents intended for international clients. The documents were primarily of a tax-related nature, and therefore a high standard was set for the translators’ skills, since it was extremely important that the full meaning of the source documents were transferred to the translation. To get their translations completed according to these specifications, PwC contacted Diction.
The solution
Diction has an enormous network of translators in various industries. In this case, the job required translators with experience in legal translations and with a particularly strong insight into tax-related terminology. Diction therefore used specialists with the necessary skills for the job at hand and also carried out certified translations for PwC in Norway that matched their requirements.
